20 months......

Well I was trying to post this before midnight but didn't quite make it. So I guess it was 20 months yesterday since my LID. 20 LONG months and I STILL don't have my referral for Megan Joy. When I started the process back in 2005, the wait was around 6-7 months while I was paperchasing. Now it is 20+ months. No one even knows when I'll get my referral, let alone travel. I keep thinking that I'll get my referral in February 2008 and travel in April 2008. But who really knows?!?! I just pray that the olympics would interfere with my adoption. Who would have thought back in 2005 when I was DTC that I might have to worry about the olympics in summer 2008?!?! So frustrating...

I've always had in the back of my mind, wondering if I will want to adopt more than once child. Honestly, I don't know if I'll be able to adopt from China again. First of all because of the singles ban and also now because the wait is so long, I don't think that I could handle a 3-4 year wait if it ends up taking that long.

Just keeping praying for my Megan Joy. I pretty much KNOW that she has been born and I can't wait to meet her.

Cut-of: November 25, 2005

Well it is official. CCAA has matched referrals through 11/25/05. This is batch of only 4 days. They have been matching 7 days in the past few months so we were hoping that it would be another 7 days. This is so frustrating. However, the encouraging news is that apparently there were a lot of dossiars logged in from 11/22/05 through 11/24/05, so at least we are over this hump. I can't even beging to calculate when I'll be getting my referral. Praying that the October referrals will finish off November but then I still have all of December to sit through.......

Rollarcoaster ride

This whole adoption process has been a rollar coaster ride. I never know what to expect!!! I usually don't spend a whole lot of time on rumor queen but when someone on my December 2005 DTC yahoo group mentioned that RQ had mentioned some December 2005 LID's were included in the next referral batch, I have been intently studying it. However, then it changed to the cut off date as November 24, 2005, which would be terrible. November has taken 6 months!!! So the cut-off date can be anywhere from 11/24/05 through early December. If it is 11/24/05 that would be just 3 days worth of referrals. At that rate, it will still be over a year until I see Megan's face. That just can't be. This wait has been ridiculous. I will be celebrating my 20 month LID anniversary on Thursday.

I want Megan Joy's referral NOW!!!!!!!! I'll post what I know when referrals start coming in hopefully tomorrow.
